NEET UG 2018 – Information About Eligibility, Date Of Examination And Syllabus

The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification regarding the upcoming National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to various medical colleges.

There are some changes made to the eligibility criteria. As this year, CBSE announced that candidates who have passed from open schools or as private candidate are not eligible to sit for the test.

Also, the medical aspirants above the age of 25 cannot appear for the test. Other than that, study of biology/bio-technology will have to be a compulsory subject at 10 + 2 level instead of an additional subject.

The test will be held on 6th of May, 2018 and the application process that began from 8th of February will go to till 9th of March. The fee payment, however, will go on till 10th of March.

The corrections in application form can be made from March 12 to 16. The admit card for the test will get displayed in the second week of April. The medical aspirants taking the test can expect the result declaration on June 5th.

This year, the question papers will be in 11 languages and will comprise of 180 objective type questions. The question papers will be in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Assamese. The candidates will have 3 hours from 10 am to 1 pm to answer the questions.

The syllabus for NEET (UG) will be based on class 11th and 12th topics.
