The admission process for B.Tech for the Academic year 2021-2022 takes place from June to September. The majority of the states have conducted the entrance exam process for UG B.Tech in March/April. Unlike the B.Tech admission process in the IITs, IIITs, and NITs, the UG B.Tech admission process is different.
One of the main processes of admission requirements is the acceptability of engineering exam scores. JEE Main is the widely accepted entrance exam. It is accepted by most of the engineering colleges in India for B.Tech admissions. Apart from JEE Main, state-level exams are also conducted depending on the colleges in a specific state. In some states, both national level and state level exams are acceptable for admission.
You can also get admission to private colleges without an entrance test. But such admissions are taken as a management quota. The fee for B.tech admission without an entrance test is considerably higher than entrance-based admissions. The centralized admission process is also accepted without an entrance test. Students are selected purely based on class 12 merit.
